Talal Abu Ghazaleh is the chairman and founder of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organisation (TAG) and is known for promoting the concept of intellectual property rights in the Arab world. A Palestinian refugee, whose life is governed by “the principle of the blessing of suffering, for suffering can become the greatest blessing”, Abu Ghazaleh was granted a scholarship to study at the American University in Beirut (AUB), and he was the first student to get a scholarship from United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
