Zeinab Abdel Hamid cannot remember when she was admitted to Al-Abbasiya. She said she never went home. When she recovered, her brother’s wife denied her access to go back home, telling her that he is sick and there is no one to take care of her. “I felt sorry for my brother when I knew he was sick,” she said in a quavering voice tone. Despite her aging physique and lack of contact with her siblings, Zeinab has a delightful spirit and is keen on spending time outside the hospital’s dorm every day. Asmaa Gamal
