Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, said that the meeting confirmed the importance Egypt attaches to its relationship with Germany as an important political and economic partner, and welcomed the work of German institutions in Egypt. At the forefront of these institutions is the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, which plays a supporting role in economic and social development efforts, in accordance with the provisions of the Additional Protocol to the cultural agreement regulating its work in Egypt.
