
Egypt Post signs cooperation protocol with The Entertainer to provide loyalty programmes

The meeting dealt with presenting the work plan and strategy of Egypt Post and its subsidiaries, discussing its investment opportunities in the stock market and how to increase and benefit from them, in addition to the possibility of promoting investment funds through post offices throughout the republic.
Farouk said the step comes within the framework of Egypt Post’s endeavour to provide the best financial services to citizens. This is the first time this vessel is offered by Egypt Post, and is a great addition to the authority’s financial services, besides its regular annual-return saving vessels. The interest rate for a monthly-return savings vessel is 6% and 6.25% for the quarterly savings vessel.
SMART works in the field of e-government projects and electronic transaction processing in the Middle East and Africa, and also works in managing the catering and bread system within the Egyptian market. It currently manages 20 million cards and serves 72 million Egyptians.
He said that this decision will contribute significantly to providing the necessary cash liquidity for individuals, institutions, and companies, especially those whose activities that depend on cash collection, such as gas stations and commercial malls, in addition to the activities of selling real estate, cars, and others, explaining that this decision will also contribute to attracting customers to deposit their money in their accounts.
The minister said that this meeting comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to combine government efforts to meet the needs of Egyptians abroad, stressing the importance and role of Egypt Post for all Egyptians.
Sherif Farouk — Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Egypt Post — said that paper letters and postcards let you express feelings in a great way and have a value that distinguishes them from other modern electronic means of communication.
The minister said that the launch of the application comes within the framework of the ministry’s strategy to build a digital Egypt, where Egypt Post plays a pivotal role in implementing the programmes and initiatives of this ambitious strategy.
He said in a press conference on Tuesday, that Egypt Post has developed many of its services and transformed them into digital services in line with the increase in demand for digital services due to the Coronavirus pandemic, especially that the Post has a wide base of customers reaching 20 million customers.
For his part, Mohamed Farid, Chairperson of the Egyptian Exchange, reviewed the developments in the stock market during the past period, pointing to the role played by the market as a platform that helps economic entities operating in various sectors to access the financing necessary for growth and expansion, as well as an important platform for savings and cumulative long-term investment.
He added that the authority succeeded in making many achievements on the ground during the last fiscal year with the continuous support of Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

According to the statement issued on Thursday, the authority’s circular No 481 stresses the need to adhere to the precautionary measures, to attempt to avoid further spread.
