The delegation delivered a verbal message from Secretary-General of Arab League Ahmed Aboul-Gheit to Al-Burhan that the pan-Arab bloc supports the transitional process in Sudan and calls for continuing the partnership between the military and civil sides until holding general elections.
A statement issued by the Arab League stated that the delegation will meet with Sudanese leaders from the various parties to support efforts to end the current political crisis, in light of the signed agreements governing the transitional period.
The Arab League affirmed in a statement Tuesday that “a comprehensive, just and lasting peace has one path, which is to end the Israeli occupation of all Palestinian and Arab territories occupied since 1967, and to establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with the decisions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.”
“During the meeting, Aboul Gheit was briefed on all the activities of the committee during the recent period, which culminated in the approval and stabilization of the ceasefire, as well as the adoption of an action plan during the last meeting in Geneva last month to withdraw all mercenaries, foreign fighters and foreign troops from Libyan territory,” according to a statement by the Arab League.

The training was also attended by Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces, leaders of the main army branches, members of the national security committee of the House of Representatives, and some media figures.
A statement issued by the Arab League said, “During the meeting, Aboul Gheit listened to Kubis’ presentation on the developments in the implementation of the plan to remove mercenaries and foreign forces from Libya.”
