Veteran Egyptian actor Ahmed Khalil dies of COVID-19 infection

Head of the Egyptian Actors Syndicate, Ashraf Zaki, confirmed the death of Khalil. The funeral of the late actor was held at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed city.


Egyptian renowned actor Ahmed Khalil died on Tuesday, at the age of 80, after being infected with coronavirus (COVID-19). 

Head of the Egyptian Actors Syndicate, Ashraf Zaki, confirmed the death of Khalil. The funeral of the late actor was held at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed city.

Khalil was born in Dakahlia in 1941. He joined the Jeep Theater, and participated in nine plays, including (Ya Tala’ al-Shajara), (Yassin and Bahia), and (Love under Guard). The late artist has many films, such as (3 Faces of Love), (Wild Flowers), and (The Convergence).

He also starred in several TV series, most notably (Hwanim Garden City), which gave him wide fame, and (The Morning and Evening Talk), and (Zaman Imad Al-Din).
