Egypt’s Communications Minister appoints new ITIDA board members

Decision shall take effect from 1 March


Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has issued a decree appointing new members to the Board of Directors at the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

This decision shall take effect from 1 March 2021, and the new members will keep position for a period of 12 months.

The decision includes the appointment of: Maged Mohamed, Vice President and General Manager of Dell Technologies’ Center of Excellence; Reem Edward, Vice President of Cisco in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region; Hisham Sayed, Chairperson of Si-Ware Systems; Engy Wahdan, Head of Human Resources and Public Relations at the Arab African International Bank (AAIB); Ahmed Issa, CEO of the Retail Banking Sector at the Commercial International Bank (CIB); and Ameer Sharif, Co-Founder and CEO at BasharSoft.

The ITIDA Board of Directors also includes representatives from the State Council, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the Presidency of the Republic, the General Intelligence Service, and the Ministry of Finance. This is in accordance with the Authority’s Establishment Law No 15 of 2004.
