High-end German car brand, Mercedes, has released the latest version of its GLA SUV, with Daily News Egypt taking the model out for a test drive.

The model boasts a more spacious interior than the first generation of the car, reinforcing the impression that this is a family car.

The cabin of the Mercedes GLA is smooth and comfortable to use, providing a touchscreen dashboard with an MBUX system that can be controlled either through a touch on the screen or through the steering wheel buttons.

In addition, the transmission engine is next to the steering wheel, and is characterised by seven gears, in addition to the presence of a manual shift.

The car contains sports seats that can be controlled electrically, in addition to the standard Mercedes leather finish which gives it a high-end, classic look. This is a particular plus since the GLA seat provides a relaxing touch for the driver whilst the car is in use.

The car features EBD and ABS brake systems, which makes the vehicle safer and more controllable, in addition to the ESP system.

The Mercedes GLA is distinguished by the 19-inch sport rims on its wheels in the upper class and 18 inches in the lowest, which help provide greater stability while driving. Also available is the Active Parking Assist, a rear camera, four sensors, and Attention Assist.

The exterior takes a more serious aspect in the car’s new look, with the grille more streamlined, and the presence of LED headlights in addition to lighting the LED taillights.

The new model also boasts a 10 cm height increase, with the width of the car increasing by 3.5 cm, enhancing the SUV feel of the car.
