Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla discussed Monday with Matthias Hellmann, chief digital officer (CDO) of Baker Hughes, the implementation of a digital investment map for the auction areas offered by the oil and gas sector in Egypt.

The planned map is to be used in the marketing process for auctions to keep pace with modern technologies and raise both the efficiency and quality of exploration activities.

Hellmann stressed the importance of the project to develop and modernise the oil and gas sector through contributing to enhancing the capabilities of the sector to meet the challenges.

He added that the company is committed to supporting the implementation of the development and modernisation project through its partnership in the research and exploration digital portal project, which is a new shift in the direction of the oil and gas sector.
