The number of smartphones users in the Egyptian market rose last year to 23.6 million, compared to 21 million in 2016, an increase of 2.6 million people.

It is expected that the number of smartphone users in Egypt will increase this year by 2.2 million people, reaching 25.8 million people.

Smartphone users are expected to further grow to 27.9 million by the end of 2019, an increase of 2.1 million from 2018.

According to statistics from Statista, the number of smartphone users in Egypt in 2013 reached 12.6 million, growing by 3.1 million in 2014 to reach 15.5 million, the largest year-over-year increase in the past five years.

During 2015, the number of smartphone users in Egypt increased by 2.7 million to reach 18.2 million.
