Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr met with officials from the Chinese company Hutchison Ports.

The minister said that Egypt has promising investment opportunities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), where the government will put forward many projects in several industrial fields for international investors. She explained that the SCZone includes establishing seven ports to turn Egypt into a global maritime shipping-logistic centre.

Hutchison Ports’ officials said that they 52 ports spanning 26 countries , including a project that is under implementation with the Ministry of Transportation and the Alexandria Port. They expressed their hopes to continue injecting investments into the Egyptian maritime transport sector and logistics centres.
