The ministries of military production and transportation discussed cooperating in manufacturing equipment for transport and railway.

Minister of Military Production Mohammed Al-Assar met with Minister of Transportation Hesham Arafat and his delegation at his office.

The meeting dealt with the latest developments in a number of joint projects between the two ministries, such as the regional Ring Road, the Shubra-Banha road, and upgrades to a number of railway stations, platforms, and crossings.

During the meeting, Al-Assar reviewed the ministry’s subsidiaries’ capabilities to help determine fields of possible cooperation.

He added that the ministry is keen on meeting the equipment and spare part needs of the Ministry of Transportation.

Arafat said that both ministries are working to cooperate in a number of fields, including manufacturing equipment needed for railway projects in order to limit the imports of these parts from abroad.
