Under the presidency of Antonio Espinos, the World Karate Federation chose Egypt’s Mohamed El-Housseiny Aly as a member of the federation’s technical committee.

Aly was elected for one of the federation’s 12 seats. After karate was selected to participate at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, the federation’s technical committee is currently playing an important role regarding the improvement of the sport, modifying the sport’s competitions and regulations, and the discipline’s rules.

Aly stated: “I am very grateful to be elected for this position at such an important time.”
