Currency exchange rates on banking websites for the Commercial International Bank (CIB), HSBC, and the Arab African International Bank (AAIB) showed that the exchange rate has reached EGP 13.25 to the US dollar for buying and EGP 14.30 for selling.

The price at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr registered EGP 13.1 for selling.

The price of the euro against the national currency reached EGP 14.66 for buying and EGP 15.91 for selling.

This comes just after the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decision this morning to liberate the exchange rate through the inter banking system, setting at a guide price of EGP 13 per US dollar.
