Head of the General Division of Computer and Software at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) Khalil Hassan said that floating the Egyptian pound will contribute to lowering the prices of computers within the coming weeks, expecting prices to fall by 10-15%.

Hassan added that prices will continue falling further if the price of the currency remains stable.

He noted that several negotiations have been ongoing with importers and manufacturers of computers, along with banks and outlets, to launch a campaign for selling computers with facilitated payment options.
