The Lawyers Syndicate arranged a protest on Saturday in front of the Supreme Judicial Council in rejection to the recently approved Value-Added Tax (VAT) Law.

The protest included a number of lawyers and syndicate council members.

The syndicate announced on Friday that it would escalate measures to protest the VAT Law.

The Lawyers Syndicate formed an emergency meeting to examine how to counter the effects of the law on syndicate members, which will be headed by the head of the Lawyers Syndicate Sameh Ashour.
