The Russian army has not yet used all its capabilities in Syria so far, and it may use “more military means” if necessary, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, as reported by local Russian media.

“We see how efficient our pilots and our intelligence are in coordinating efforts with different types of forces: the army, navy and air force, and how can they use the most advanced weapons,” Putin said, addressing officers.

He added that directing more funds to operations in Syria may be approved if needed.

The Russian president added that his intelligence has foiled 30 plans to execute attacks in Russia.

Russia launched its intervention in Syria last September, aiming to “target terrorists”.

Moreover, on Friday, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution that aim to launch a peace process in Syria.
