A bomb exploded early Thursday morning in the west Cairo village of Kerdasa, killing one and injuring another on the first anniversary of Mohamed Morsi’s ouster.

According to state-run Al-Ahram, security sources said the explosion killed the man suspected of carrying the bomb. There was no mention of the injury.

Just hours before the Kerdasa bombing, two bombs went off in Giza’s Imbaba neighbourhood. The bombs, which went off minutes apart and targeted police outposts in the neighbourhood, caused no injuries. State-owned MENA news agency called the bombs “primitive”.
