Touristic areas have been struggling for months to keep their heads above water due to the lack of visitors to their sunny shores. Yesterday, an influx of another kind poured into the streets of the nigh deserted areas, leaving a slimy trail of mud and water.
“When it rains, it pours” was a good way to describe the deluge that burst over many areas along the coast, leaving soaked ceilings, sloshy living rooms and rivers instead of streets in its wake.
