The end of January officially ushered in the Chinese New Year; this time, the Year of the Horse. Despite the name, the Chinese lunar New Year will not be kind to those belonging to the Horse zodiac sign – or so they say. Two horses cannot meet without tension, apparently. For the rest of the farm animals, things should go smoothly. Travel is advised, they say, but when was it not advised? Typical to the Eastern mentality of leisure and good time, celebrations will end on 15 February. One night is never enough when it comes to the New Year.
