Bishop Pola of Tanta walked out of a meeting of the Constituent Assembly on Monday in protest over the amount of time he was allowed to respond to a member of the Salafi Al-Nour Party.

The Orthodox Christian bishop was present at a meeting that was targeted at hearing the recommendations of the Al-Nour Party for amending the 2012 constitution, reported state owned Al-Ahram.

Pola walked out of the meeting after he was allotted only one minute to respond to Al-Nour representative Mohamed Ibrahim Mansour. Al-Ahram cited sources that claimed Pola then took his complaint to Amr Moussa, the Chairman of the 50-member assembly .

Earlier in September, the previous Al-Nour Party representative Bassam Al Zarqa walked out of a session over a disagreement on the topic of Sharia in the constitution. Al Zarqa was replaced by Mansour for health reasons, according to the party.
