Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi stated that the US government showed willingness to support the Egyptian economy after his call with US Secretary of the Treasury Jack Lew on Thursday.

El-Beblawi said Lew expressed understanding towards the Egyptian economic situation and announced the US administration’s support.

He said Lew affirmed in his call that the US will help revive a strong economy by collaborating with international institutions led by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and by abiding by the desires and requests of the Egyptian government.
