The Supreme Judicial Council nominated 6 of the members; Secretary General of the Supreme Judicial Council Chancellor Mohamed Mahgoub and Head of Cairo Court of Appeals Chancellor Hassan Bassiouni will serve as representatives of ordinary courts. According to a declaration by the interim president, the committee shall suggest amendments to the now-suspended 2012 constitution within 30 days.
