Ministers resign in protest of latest clashes

Heads of tourism, environment, communications and parliamentary affairs ministries submit their resignations

Four key ministers have submitted their resignations to President Mohamed Morsi on Monday, in solidarity with protesters calling for his ouster.

Minister of State for Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils, Hatem Bagato, went to the cabinet on Monday morning to offer his resignation, in protest to the lack of “governing authority, ” that he claimed was made clear amid the protests calling for the removal of Morsi , state-run Al-Ahram reported.

Minister of Tourism Hisham Zazaou, Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy, and Minister of Communications Atef Helmy also submitted their resignations.
