During his visit to Doha, Egyptian prosecutor general Tala’at Abdallah announced on Monday that he had signed a cooperation agreement on public prosecution with the Qatari attorney general, Ali bin Fetais al Marri.

The agreement tackles joint trainings, exchanging experiences and cooperating in public prosecution matters, Qatar News Agency (QNA) cited Fetais.

 In a joint press conference held in Doha to announce the agreement, Fetais described Egyptian-Qatari relations as “persisting”, adding that the relationship between the two countries will soon witness a “quantum leap”.

Transferring the public prosecution’s technological aspect from Qatar to Egypt is one of the agreement’s terms, said Abdallah during the press conference. He added that the agreement is expected to develop and improve Egypt’s public prosecution.

“The revolution in Egypt is a revolution in all its institutions,” QNA quoted Abdallah. He hoped that the agreement would introduce a technological revolution that would benefit the country’s litigants and justice system.
