There is a group of women in Egypt who have no voice. They live in the silence of shame and fear.

They face violence and abuse. On the street, or in the very place where they should be safe – their homes.

The violent sexual assault of a foreign woman was carried by media outlets worldwide. And rightfully so.

Today we speak for the women of Egypt who suffer the same abuse but do not get a voice.

Because they deserve to be heard.
