CAIRO: The average yield on Egyptian 364-day domestic treasury bills eased at an auction on Thursday, and the central bank sold more than it originally offered.

But the yield on 182-day T-bills rose, and the bank sold less than it sought, it said.

On the 364-day bills, the average yield fell to 15.709 percent from 15.919 percent at the last issue on March 20, and the bank sold LE 4.5 billion instead of the LE 3.5 billion it had offered.

On the 182-day bills, the average yield rose to 14.829 percent from 14.799 percent at last week’s auction, and the bank sold LE 1.975 billion instead of the LE 3 billion it had initially asked for.
