CAIRO: Four African migrants, believed to be from Sudan, were on Saturday shot and killed by Egyptian police as they attempted to enter Israel, a security services official said.

The four were part of a group trying to cross the Egyptian-Israeli border when they were spotted by a police patrol.

Since the start of the year, eight African migrants have been killed at the border, according to security services. Over 30 people were killed last year, most shot by police.
