CAIRO: Algeria reserve goalkeeper Faouzi Chaouchi is ready to carry the burden of deputizing for Lounes Gaouaoui in Wednesday s World Cup qualifier playoff with Egypt.

Chaouchi, 25, will make his competitive debut in Sudan as Algeria s number one Gaouaoui is ruled out through suspension.

I am 100 percent fit for the game. I am not nervous because I have confidence in my abilities, the ES Setif guardian told Al-Haddaf newspaper.

I am willing to take full responsibility and replace my mate Gaouaoui.

Algeria will also miss midfielder Khaled Lemmouchia, who was also cautioned in Saturday s 2-0 defeat in Cairo.
