PORT SAID: Hungarian Bertalan Bicskei was named new head coach of Masri, the Port Said club said on Wednesday.

The 65-year-old signed an 18-months-contract with the coastal club, where he had two spells before in 1994 and 2003. He will earn a monthly salary of $10,000.

Bicskei will lead Masri against league leaders Ahly on Saturday, before facing Zamalek four days later in Port Said.

The veteran manager had previous experiences in Hungary, South Korea and Saudi Arabia at club level. He also managed the Hungarian national team for a while.

Bicskei s coaching career highlight was leading his nation to winning the 1994 European Youth Championship in Moscow.
