CAIRO: Mohamed Zidan scored a goal and set up another as Hamburg thrashed fourth division VFB Lubeck 5-0 in a pre-season friendly.

The Egypt striker started for a second-string HSV team, which did not include the likes of Ivica Olic, Rafael Van der Vaart and Paolo Guerrero.

Anton Putsilo, Anis Ben-Hatira, Jonathan Pitroipa and Tunay Torun were also on target for the Bundesliga side.

Hamburg will have a more serious pre-season contest with Manchester City next Saturday before taking part in the Emirates Stadium Cup on Aug. 2.
