CAIRO: Hassan Shehata is unsure about Amr Zaki’s fitness ahead of Egypt s 2010 World Cup qualifier against Djibouti next weekend.

The in-form Zaki has a sore knee and Shehata may not take the risk of playing him on the artificial turf of Djibouti s Stade du Ville.

The Zamalek striker, who is poised to join Wigan this summer, scored a crucial equalizer against DR Congo in the 2-1 win last Sunday.

The Egypt squad will train on Wednesday evening in preparation for Friday s game, amid sever weather conditions in Djibouti, which reaches 44 degrees.

Djibouti were humiliated 8-1 by Malawi in the Group 12 opener last Saturday.
