CAIRO: Ahly are believed to be interested in signing Tersana goalkeeper Ahmed Saad next season, according to a source inside the club.

Manuel Jose is in search for a goalkeeper, following the shocking departure of Essam El-Hadari to join the Swiss club FC Sion.

Apart from Hadari s departure, Amir Abdel Hamid struggled with injuries, leaving Jose with inexperienced duo Ahmed Abdel Monem and Mohamed Al-Shennawi.

The Reds were linked with Aluminum keeper Mohamed Khalaf, but both clubs failed to agree on a transfer fee.

We are monitoring Saad, especially after Khalaf s deal has become impossible, an Ahly source told FilGoal.com.

Aluminum demanded LE 2 million for 30-year-old Khalaf, who conceded 46 goals in 27 games this season.
