CAIRO: Zamalek assistant coach Ayman Mansour denied that playmaker Mahmoud “Shikabala Abdel Razeq is suffering a serious Achilles injury.

Reports suggested on Tuesday that the 21-year-old picked up the injury on Monday s training session, causing havoc to the Whites technical staff.

However, Mansour insists that Shikabala had a “minor knock and that he should be fit for the next league against Telecom Egypt next weekend.

Shikabala had a minor knock in training, that’s all, the Zamalek second man told FilGoal.com on Tuesday.

What have been said regarding the injury are just false rumors, he should be fit to face Telecom.

Fourth-placed Zamalek are six points adrift of current League leaders and holders Al Ahly, who still have a game in hand.
