CAIRO: Jordan international keeper, Amer Shafie, made some heroic saves leading Al-Wehdat to a precious scoreless home draw against Egyptian side Al-Gaish, in the first leg of the round 16 of the Arab Champions League.

The visitors made everything except scoring. Amer Sabri, Mamdouh Abdel Hai,Gomaa Mashhour and Hassan Awad had several efforts on target but Shafie seemed invincible this day.

Al Gaish will have an easy task in two weeks when they’ll play at home to go through to the ACL group stage for the first time.

Al-Wehdat have just sacked Egyptian manager Ismail Youssef and his fellow country man Mohamed Omar made his debut against Al Gaish.
