Egyptian Meteorological Authority warns of unstable weather starting Tuesday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said, on Monday, that a wave of unstable weather will hit the country between 20 October and 25 October. 

Heavy rains, which could become thunderstorms, are expected in different parts of Egypt during the period, as well as a gradual decrease in temperature by 4 or 5 degrees Celsius. 

The EMA said that heavy to moderate rain is expected on Wednesday along the North Coast, including Salloum, Matrouh, Alexandria, and Dabaa, while light to medium rains are expected in northern Upper Egypt.

From Thursday to Sunday, the rainfall will be medium to heavy, potentially turning to thunderstorms, in Salloum, Siwa, Matrouh, Dabaa, Alexandria, Rashid and Damietta, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Daqahleya, Sharqeya, Gharbeya, Ismailia, Port Said, and Suez.

Cairo will also witness unstable weather and light to medium rainfall starting Wednesday, while from Thursday to Sunday the rains will be medium to heavy.

The temperatures will range from 25 to 28 degrees Celsius in Cairo, 23 to 28 degrees Celsius in the North Coast region, and 31 to 33 degrees Celsius in South Sinai. Temperatures across Upper Egypt will range between 33 and 37 degrees Celsius.
