The Executive Chairperson of the Export Development Authority (EDA), Khaled Youssef, met with Malik Dongola, the president of the Sudanese Contractors Union (SCU), who is currently visiting Cairo. The two sides discussed enhancing the joint cooperation between Egyptian companies and the SCU, especially in the sectors which are part of the SCU’s activities.

Youssef stated that the visit of the SCU’s delegation to Egypt comes upon the EDA’s invitation during its participation in the activities of the 36th session of the Khartoum International Fair, which was held late January.

Moreover, he stressed the necessity of enhancing the cooperation between the two countries to meet the needs of the SCU from building and construction materials as Egypt can provide high quality products at fair prices. This also comes in the light of the presence of roads and land crossings between the two brotherly countries.

Youssef also assured the determination of the authority to support and provide the required resources in order to enable Egyptian companies export their products to the Sudanese market, while stressing the depth of the bilateral relations in all fields.

Notably, this meeting is the first for Youssef after he assumed his position in the EDA in early February.
