Santiago Solari was crowned for the first time with Real Madrid after only two months in position as coach. The team has become the producer of coaches, where Frenchman Zinedine Zidane took charge of the team before.

The Argentine coach took the job on 12 November 2018, led the team in nine games, won seven, and lost two. The Royal team scored 19 goals and conceded nine goals.

In the Spanish league, Solari led the Real Madrid in six games, winning five and losing one encounter, scoring 10 goals and conceding five goals.

In the UEFA Champions League, he managed three games, won two games and lost one game, scoring seven goals and conceding three goals.

In the Club World Cup, he coached two games, winning two games, scoring seven goals and conceding only two goals.

Solari is the fourth coach to crown the title from South America and the first coach from Argentine to win the world title.
