Banque du Caire (BDC) opened two new branches last week, one the Syria branch in the Mohandessin neighbourhood and the Beverly Hills branch in Sheikh Zayed City, thus bringing its total number of branches to 221.

This is in line with the bank’s strategy to expand geographically within the Egyptian market, to contribute to the dissemination and achievement of financial coverage, in order to provide its customers with all its banking services, as well as to attract new customers.

According to Tarek Fayed, chairperson and CEO of BDC, the bank has an ambitious strategy to expand the financing of all banking sectors to contribute towards sustainable economic development, in line with the bank’s plan to expand geographically.

Furthermore, BDC is also planning to open 29 new branches in the beginning of 2019, in addition to adding 20 to 25 branches annually, in the coming three years, along with increasing the number of ATMs to 1,200 during 2019, highlighted the bank’s CEO.

Fayed also pointed out that BDC intends to restructure and develop its branches to facilitate efficient access to its services in the shortest possible time, indicating that this plan is not limited to renewing the system, but also extends to improved customer experience.

BDC opened the Kafr El Dawar branch in Beheira governorate in October, and the Esna branch in Luxor governorate in May 2018.

According to Fayed, this is in line with the bank’s continuous efforts to provide optimum services, facilitate customer procedures, and reach new customers in order to contribute towards achieving and increasing financial inclusion.
