Hisham Al Khateeb became Egypt’s participant in the Regional Car Park Drift, which takes place in Beirut in September, after winning first place in the Red Bull Car Park Drift Egypt 2018—held at Cairo Festival City’s car park in the Fifth Settlement. Congratulations to Al Khateeb for his first win at the eighth edition of the Red Bull Car Park Drift (Egypt). A well put performance and a well-deserved win.

Al Khateeb managed a total of 364 points, claiming the title after beating off tough competition from the trio Mohamed Zordok, Ahmed Desouky, and Haitham Samir, who finished second, third, and fourth respectively. With 17 drivers participating, the CPD included two rounds where the referees calculated the best result of the two rounds and the winner qualifed for the regional competition.

The fans were also entertained by motorbike stunts from Rami Sold as well as the annual show by the world’s great Lebanese drifter, and the spiritual father of drifting in the Middle East, Abdo Faghaly.

The Red Bull Car Park Drift began in Egypt in 2011. Rami Sarri won first place in the qualifiers of 2011 and 2012, while driver Haitham Samir won in 2013, Ahmed Tarek won in 2014, Ahmed Desouky in 2015, Majed Abu Salim in 2016, and Ahmed Hamada won in the 2017 championship.
