Germany confirms killing of two nationals in Hurghada stabbing

Two female German tourists were killed in an attack on a beach resort Friday in Hurghada. The German embassy in Cairo has quoted its foreign ministry in a statement on Saturday morning confirming that the two victims were German nationals.

The embassy further stated that its representatives were present at the crime scene.

A man reportedly stabbed several tourists while on the beach in one of Hurghada’s resorts Friday.  The assailant is in police custody.
