Ted Baker London: local market witnesses retail expansion

Entering the 1,800 square-foot haven of menswear and womenswear begins a historical journey between England and Egypt. The vast area is a cultural mix of the countries’ most iconic symbols.

After two successful years in Egypt, Ted Baker London has opened its second branch in Egypt in order to offer a new and advanced experience as well as a wider range of options.

This particular store does not only represent a major leap in the arena of interior décor and visual merchandise, it also showcases the current significance of the local retail market.

The store’s décor is inspired by the lotus flower, which is worshipped as a symbol of creation and used throughout apothecaries. The store’s architecture also blends with the brand’s English origins through subtle touches of Victorian elegance that resembles the kingdom’s old apothecaries.

The fitting rooms have botanical garden patterned wallpapers, with subtly-placed lobsters hidden amongst the flowers.  The large glass cash desk features faux lotus flowers, floating within the space.

The new store is a great addition to City Stars mall’s selection of respectable high-end brands and designer labels. Furthermore, the new branch is a great step for Al-Futtaim, who represents Ted Baker’s regional and local partners.

The opening event was attended by many significant members of Al-Futtaim’s management, as well as local media entities and a few familiar fashion experts. The brand also organised a brief fashion presentation to bring their look-book to life and celebrate the label’s SS16 collection.

Ted Baker initially started as a shirt specialist back in 1988. Nonetheless, the brand currently manages to provide everything from menswear and womenswear to fragrances, watches, and luggage.
